Legal Status

Academic Connections was never envisioned to be a formal nonprofit initiative. Up until tNovember of 2025, it was an educator collaborative group to connect known educator colleagues with others for no-cost online international collaborative informal professional development.

 

It informally became a pilot phase mid-Autumn 2025, by offering more structured n-cost educator professional development and then, a student learning opportunity through English-medium collaboration.

 

Since November 2025, the organization has explored what it would entail to explore ways to strengthen and formalize the collaborative activities.

 

The group’s activities were first to identify the no-cost educational projects under an operational name: Academic Connections.

 

The informally established group of collaborating academics, is in the process of filing a U.S. Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) application to be considered as a Non-Profit Organization in the state of California, in the United States.
